Stories of successful Lebanese expats have always been a source of hope and pride. This time, we celebrate the nomination of Dr Ramy Harik, alumnus of ULFG2 (year 2003), as one of the 20 most influential professors in smart manufacturing, according to SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers).
In addition to his commitment to his students during his career in teaching across different universities in the USA, France and Lebanon, Dr Harik has been chosen for having established the Future Factories laboratory at the University of South Carolina, where he's an associate professor in addition to holding the position of Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
This advanced lab is a unique experimental platform that will be completed with an online curriculum which will be made "as widely available as possible to entice the future workforce on the topic of smart manufacturing and manufacturing jobs that are passionately intriguing", according to Dr Harik.
